Terms of Service

Using this site

Bold Mirage Lab publishes bold-mirage-lab.com under the plain terms below — submit a sample or write in about a stability study through this site and you've agreed to them.

Our content

The report language, methodology notes, and photography on this site belong to Bold Mirage Lab unless we say otherwise. Read them for your own reference; reusing them commercially needs Helen's written consent first.

What may change

Prices for common test panels and Helen's turnaround estimates are kept as current as we can, but a page can lag behind a busy submission week. The actual price and timeline for your sample are the ones confirmed once it's logged in, not the figure on this site.

Individual arrangements

The specific panel, timeline and price for your submission are agreed once your sample's actually been logged in, not fixed by anything printed on this site. Nothing on bold-mirage-lab.com by itself is a binding quote.

Disclaimer

Bold Mirage Lab is responsible for what's published on this site to the extent Japanese law requires, and no further. We're not liable for sites we link to, nor for a decision made purely from a general article here rather than an actual submitted-sample result.

When terms change

These terms get revised as the lab's own submission and reporting policies change — the version live on this page is the one in force. Continued use of the site after a change means you've accepted it.

Governing law

Japanese law, as it applies at Bold Mirage Lab's registered address in Kita Ward, Nagoya, governs these terms and any dispute arising from the use of this site.

Turnaround and results

Standard turnaround at Bold Mirage Lab is quoted when your sample is submitted and starts the moment it's logged in Kita Ward, not the day it was posted. Results are reported exactly as measured, method and any deviation noted — Helen doesn't nudge a figure toward an expected outcome, and says so plainly if a result comes back inconclusive.

Damaged or unlabelled samples

A sample that turns up broken, leaking, or without clear labelling can't be tested and can't be sent back in any usable state. Helen will contact you before disposing of anything, but a resubmission fee may apply if the packing, not the courier, was the problem.

Retesting and disputes

A result looks wrong to you? Say so before acting on it — Helen will review the method and, where it's warranted, rerun the test on the retained portion of your sample at no extra charge. A reported figure never gets adjusted without a documented reason.

Sample disposal

A tested sample stays on the shelf at Bold Mirage Lab for a limited period after the report goes out, in case a retest is needed, then it's disposed of appropriately for the material type. Want it back instead? Say so when you submit it.

Payment terms

Payment is due when the report is delivered, unless a standing account has been set up in advance for repeat submissions. The report itself goes out once payment clears, except where an account arrangement's already in place.

Confidentiality of results

A result from Bold Mirage Lab goes only to whoever actually submitted the sample — nobody else sees it unless you name an additional recipient in writing at the time of submission.

Accreditation and methods

Every report from Kita Ward names the method used, alongside instrument settings and reference standards, so the result can be independently checked or challenged. Where a method isn't formally accredited, the report says so in plain words rather than implying a certification Bold Mirage Lab doesn't hold.

Interpretation of results

A Bold Mirage Lab report states what was measured and by what method; working out what that means for your specific formulation or site is a separate conversation Helen is glad to have, not something implied automatically by the numbers on the page. Ask if a figure doesn't make sense in context.

Minimum sample size

Every test method the lab runs has a minimum sample size needed for a reliable result. Send less than that, and Helen contacts you before running anything, rather than handing back a result nobody's confident in.

Contact

If any clause here reads unclear, write to hello@bold-mirage-lab.com and Helen will walk you through it in plain words, same as she would a test report.
